Women's Trailside Bike Repair | Essential Skills Workshop

Learn trailside bike repair and maintenance with hands-on practice in this Women's essential skills workshop. Demo tools provided or bring your own. Session takes place outside at Trail Sports.

Please see the course content below:

  • Bike setup (including adjustment of suspension, cockpit, seat height and tire pressure)
  • The pre-ride safety check 
  • Essential tools to carry in your pack
  • Trail mechanics (repairing a flat, quicklink chain repair and more)
  • Tips, tricks and hacks for when it all goes wrong on the trail
  • Drivetrain troubleshooting
  • Q&A with shop mechanic

Women's Mountain Bike Fundamentals | Beginner Course

Learn the fundamentals of mountain biking and be introduced to riding the trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre in this Women's Fundamentals course. Including position and stability, operation of controls and terrain awareness.

 

Wednesday Evenings, 5pm-7pm

2 hours

$80 + GST

Women's Intro to Air | Intermediate Course

Learn fundamental progressions to get wheels off the ground in a comfortable and encouraging setting. 

Mandatory Equipment:

  • A mountain bike capable of trail and bike-skills park riding (i.e. dirt jumper is not appropriate)
  • Knee pads

Recommended Equipment:

  • Full-face helmet
  • Elbow pads
  • Bike gloves

Women’s Spring Twice-a-Week Ride | 3-Week Monday & Thursday Evening Series

Back by popular demand! For beginner-plus riders looking for a tune-up at the start of the season. Twice a week riding that covers the fundamentals of mountain biking. A perfect segue to the summer-long Women’s Weekly Ride series.

 

Monday & Thursday Evenings, 5pm-6:30pm

1.5 hours per session (9 hours total)

Women’s Summer Weekly Ride | 6-Week Monday Evening Series

Back by popular demand! An extension of the spring series. Ride all season long with a group of awesome women. Fitness and fun with instruction on the trail. Includes a review of the fundamentals of mountain biking, and progresses to a specific weekly focus like cornering. Riders must be confident on green single track and ready to try more challenging trails (beginner-plus).

 

Monday Evenings, 5pm-6:30pm

Women’s Fall Weekly Ride | 4-Week Tuesday Evening Series

Back by popular demand! Get your riding in while the weather is good! Learn the fundamentals of mountain biking, build fitness and learn the trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Weekly fun and instruction for riders looking to extend their bike season.

 

Tuesday Evenings, 5pm-6:30pm

1.5 hours per session (6 hours total)
