Located at the Canmore Nordic Centre, the site of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games and host to countless local, national and international sporting events, Trail Sports is a ten-minute car/bus journey or twenty-minute bike from downtown Canmore, a twenty-minute drive from Banff and one-hour from Calgary. Situated at the entrance to the Canadian Rockies and the stunning Kananaskis Provincial Park, Trail Sports and the Canmore Nordic Centre is a melting pot of thrill-seekers, families, tourists and locals, all looking to find joy and tranquility in the beautiful natural environment we call home.
Keeping with our Olympic roots, Trail Sports offers only the best in Cross-Country ski rental; with recreational and performance level classic and skate ski equipment. We also rent-fat bikes which can be used on dedicated fat-biking trails around the Nordic Centre and Quarry Lake.
Summertime is for biking and disc golf! Rent from our huge fleet of mountain, gravel and e-bikes and enjoy the endless single and double track trails at the Nordic Centre! Or, if disc golf is more your thing, discs can be rented for only $5 from us for the day.
Utilizing the Nordic Centre's 65 km of ski trails and swathes of green, blue and black single track mountain bike trails, theres no better place to recreate in the Bow Valley.

We offer individual and group lessons as well as specialty programs for youth, women and seniors. We instruct in cross-country skiing and mountain biking across all levels and experience. We also offer guided ski tours and guided bike rides for patrons looking to get to know the area and explore the best trails the Nordic Centre has to offer!
Trail Sports instructors are certified by the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors (CANSI) and Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association (PMBIA) in order to provide you with professionally-led, industry-leading instruction and guiding experiences.

In the winter, Trail Sports provides expert servicing on cross-country skis. Including, waxing, ski testing, pole cutting and equipment repairs. In the summer, we offer Trail Sports bike Tune-Ups to keep you ripping all day long for only $80! Our bike techs will make sure that your bike is in the best condition possible.
