Spring Skills Refresher

Enjoy a half-day clinic to polish up your mountain bike skills on single-track trails. Improve competency in the fundamentals of biking—position and balance, braking, shifting gears, climbing and descending hills and terrain awareness. Must be comfortable on green trails.

Next-Level Mountain Bike Lesson

Develop the intermediate skills of mountain biking—direction control, pressure control, and timing and coordination—on more challenging terrain, like steeper hills, corners and natural rolls. Must be comfortable on blue trails. This does not include drops and jumps.

Trailside Bike Repair

Women's Tuesday & Thursday Ride, Spring Series
Back by popular demand!

Improve competency in the fundamentals of mountain biking on a progression of trails over the summer. Fitness, fun and friends, double track and single track, with instruction along the way. This weekly ride runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 3 weeks.

Women's Wheel Appeal One-Day Riding Clinic
Back by popular demand!

Four hours of instruction (lesson, guided ride, bike maintenance overview), with a short lunch break. For riders with some experience, wanting to improve competency in the fundamentals of mountain biking. The day begins in the grassy stadium and progresses to double- and single-track trails as confidence increases.

Youth Programs

Kiss your kid goodbye, and we'll take ‘em for a ride!

 

Spin into Action, 3-week series (Ages 6-12)

Get a spring start on biking! Small group size, led by professionally certified bike instructors, have fun as you develop the basics of mountain biking while exploring the trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre. This is a win-win for everyone—adults go for a ride on their own while their youngsters are out there too.

Girls Weekly Wednesday Send with Leanne (Ages 13-15)

Fitness, fun and friends with instruction and guided rides. Learn the fundamentals of mountain biking and improve competency on double- and single-track trails.

 

Send it with Leanne! Leanne Gartner has been ripping it up on the local trails in the Bow Valley since she was a kid. She’s been a mountain bike instructor for four years and is PMBIA-certified. Her favourite type of trail is fast, flowy and downhill. In the summer, Leanne can be spotted at local enduro competitions, bike coaching and riding with friends. Join Leanne for this exciting spring series at the Canmore Nordic Centre.

Fitness, fun and friends with instruction and guided rides. Learn the fundamentals of mountain biking and improve competency on double- and single-track trails.

 

Pat is a PMBIA Level 1 instructor with five years of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for mountain biking. From tucked-in technical cross-country trails to fast and flowy descents, Pat is happiest when he is on his bike, and he loves sharing this joy with others.
