Guided Bike Ride

Enjoy a 2-3 hour, private guided ride with a PMBIA-certified instructor. We offer ebiking, fat biking, gravel biking and mountain biking. Explore the network of trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre with us! Guided bike tours are available for 1-6 people. Our expert instructors will tailor the tour to make sure the terrain is suited to your riding ability and fitness level. Please feel free to provide as much information as possible during the booking process! Guided rides are available daily throughout the summer. Looking for a longer ride? Just add on an extra hour at checkout! We can accommodate up to 3 hour rides depending on your preference so please call us on +1 (403) 678-6764 if you'd rather speak to a member of staff. 

 

2 hours

1 Person: $200 + GST. Additional hour $100 + GST.

2-6 People: $300 + GST. Ideal for families and friends. Additional hour $150 + GST.

Summer Weekly Easy Riders | Beginner 6-Week Thursday Morning Series

Instruction and riding for beginner to beginner-plus mountain bikers. Learn the fundamentals of mountain biking, build fitness and learn the trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Weekly fun and instruction all summer long.

 

Thursday Mornings, 9:30am-11am

1.5 hours per session (9 hours total)

$240 + GST

Women’s Spring Twice-a-Week Ride | 3-Week Monday & Thursday Evening Series

Back by popular demand! For beginner-plus riders looking for a tune-up at the start of the season. Twice a week riding that covers the fundamentals of mountain biking. A perfect segue to the summer-long Women’s Weekly Ride series.

 

Monday & Thursday Evenings, 5pm-6:30pm

1.5 hours per session (9 hours total)

$240 + GST

Women’s Summer Weekly Ride | 6-Week Monday Evening Series

Back by popular demand! An extension of the spring series. Ride all season long with a group of awesome women. Fitness and fun with instruction on the trail. Includes a review of the fundamentals of mountain biking, and progresses to a specific weekly focus like cornering. Riders must be confident on green single track and ready to try more challenging trails (beginner-plus).

 

Monday Evenings, 5pm-6:30pm

Women’s Fall Weekly Ride | 4-Week Tuesday Evening Series

Back by popular demand! Get your riding in while the weather is good! Learn the fundamentals of mountain biking, build fitness and learn the trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Weekly fun and instruction for riders looking to extend their bike season.

 

Tuesday Evenings, 5pm-6:30pm

1.5 hours per session (6 hours total)

$160 + GST

 

 

New! Pedals ‘n Petals with Deborah Foley

Stop and smell the flowers. Literally.

 

Bike instructor, Environmental Technician and Therapeutic horticulture facilitator, Deborah Foley finds that knowledge and awareness of the vegetation she rides through adds to the enjoyment and experience on the trails. To her, this is riding beyond fitness and adrenaline!

 

In bike season, scenery at the Canmore Nordic Centre changes weekly with new vegetation, layers of green, flowers that emerge and scents in the air. Pedals ‘n Petals offers riders of all ages a new way to experience the slower side of mountain biking with an increased appreciation of the area’s foliage. Enjoy lessons in plant identification, habitat range, wildlife use, medicinal/traditional Indigenous use and correct foraging.

 

Embark on this unique biking experience, where stopping for a break is an opportunity to learn. Perfect for curious minds who like to explore nature. Families are welcome.

 

Ride easy double- and single-track trails and explore the flora of the Canadian Rockies.

 

Saturday Mornings, 10am-12pm

1 Person: $125 + GST (minimum of three required to run)

Top Trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre

With so many trails to choose from at the Nordic Centre, which one should you ride? Our staff have gotten together and picked the best of the bunch! In no particular order, here are our favourites:

 

  1. The People's Pick - Odyssey

    Smooth and flowy with big berms, jumps, drops and tight trees in the middle. This trail has it all!


  2. Best Flow Trail - Soft Yogurt

    The  flow trail at CNC. Recently rebuilt with even more rollers, tabletops and the occasional hip. Soft Yog is the perfect trail for party laps.


  3. Best Tech Trail - No Homers

    Looking for old school tech? Look no further than No Homers.


  4. Best Feature Trail - Top Gun

    The newest trail at CNC; Huge berms. Big jumps. Wall rides. Whale tails. Need we say more?

  1. Best All-Round Blue - Blue Coal Chutes

    Black Coal Chute's little sister; this trail features fast flow up top, steep tech in the middle and a lightning-fast finish!


  2. Best All-Round Black - Laundry Chutes        

    This certainly won't be a gentle cycle. Be prepared for some steep tech and chunky terrain. Set the machine to heavy soil...



  3. Most Unique Trail - Black Coal Chutes

    This trail couldn't get any looser! At the site of an old coal mine, you'll see where this trail got its name.


  4. Hardest Descent - Get Down

    This trail is not for the faint hearted. So steep, you won't see what's coming 'til your front tyre hits it.


  5. Hardest Climb - Georgetown Climb/The Oven

    Looking for a sufferfest? These two climbs are perfect for those cardio-loving kings and queens.


  6. Most Scenic Trail - Rundle Connector

    This pleasant green takes you through the heart of our beautiful Provincial Park! There's nothing better than a scenic cruise on the Rundle Connector.
